As a new strategic business venture operating under EPP the objective is to bring first locally grown experience of berries to the Sri Lankan and later entering the global market. as a primary investment of Horticulture business Strawberry, Raspberry, Blackberry and Blueberry were grown in 2018 as a R& D project in New Peacock estate Dunsinane Estate . with international consultation and material imported from USA – since 2020 . Currently Strawberries & Raspberries are in the market , we expects to expands into all 26 hectares of Dunsiane & New Peacock Estates.
Currently we have cultivated conventional Cinnamon in around 100 Hectares of our own estate lands and our plan is to extend this to 200 Hectares with capturing and preserving the true value of Ceylon cinnamon . Our processing facility in Divitura is primed through the Cinnamon sourced from our own plantations . In addition to the 100 hectares we have a contracted group of 41 farmers who has cultivated around 657 acres (266 hectares) of Organic Cinnamon. EPP has obtained the Organic certificates; EU, NOP & JAS from Control Union for this contracted farmer group, thus making us the holder of the 2nd largest Organic Cinnamon extent in Sri Lanka,
As a joint venture with Agalawatta Plantations, EPP & Namunukula Plantations , THIS project was set up to process the palm fruits grown in their estates and to extract crude palm oil. The factory iS located at Mohamaddi Estate, Baduraliya, which has the processing capacity of 20,000 fresh fruits bunches per hour. As a BOI approved project our produce is exported to India. The mill was commissioned in January 2007. AEN is also a member of RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil).
Elpitiya Plantations PLC has taken a strategic initiative to build an adventure park in Divithura, Kurudugahahetekma. with total land extent of the project being 83 Acres , the company will be making a strategic investment of USD 4Million at Phase I and will be developed through 3 phases . As a project developed with an international partner it will be having strong international standards of safety measurements as well . The park will carry on with wide variety of out bound activities to help the visitors have a fun and relaxing time.

Now Elpitiya Plantation PLC has moved to the installation of the Roof top solar power projects aiming to strength the company’s’ renewable energy portfolio. Elpitiya Plantation PLC has a total hydro power capacity of 1,610 kW and can annually generate 5,000,000 kWh. Thus the company have strong total Solar Power Capacity of 2.5MW and the generated annual approximate energy 3.3GWh. the company will be making strategic indications in the future as well.

“Life @ Dunsinane” is a tourism project aimed at the Pundaluoya valley in Sri Lanka, which comprised of 04 estates ; Dunsinane, Fernlands, Sheen and Meddecombra. Apart to this, EPP has two more estates in Pussellawa region, namely New Peacock and Nayapane .Developing Dunsinane around these estates as a project is on wellness tourism which will provide a unique experience under different climatic condition including physical fitness, sports, healthy diet and weight management, relaxation, stress relief, spiritual tourism, etc.
