Mr. Bhathiya Bulumulla, who joined Elpitiya Plantations PLC in February 1999, was appointed as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer in July 2011 and as the Chief Executive Officer in July 2013. He was appointed as an Executive Director at Aitken Spence Plantation Managements PLC on 5th July 2016 and joined the Board of Directors of Elpitiya Plantations PLC on 2nd July 2018. He also holds the position of Managing Director of Elpitiya Dianhong Jin Ya Tea Company (Private) Limited and Director of EPP Hydro Power Company (Private) Limited and Escape Parks Ceylon (Private) Limited. He possesses over 35 years of experience in the Plantation Sector, out of which for the past 22 years he is serving at Elpitiya Plantations PLC . Mr. Bulumulla actively involved in the expansion of Oil Palm Cultivation and many other diversified projects such as Solar Power Generation, Berry Cultivation, Expansion of Cinnamon cultivation/Value addition on Elpitiya Plantations PLC. He had been instrumental in setting up the Escape Adventure Theme Park jointly with a Malaysian Company and the digitization of the Field Level Activities on EPP’s Plantations and integrating with the Financial Modules. Mr. Bulumulla holds a Diploma in Plantation Management from the National Institute of Plantation Management (NIPM) and holds a B.Sc (Hons) Degree in Plantation Management, awarded by the Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. He also hold a M.Sc degree in Environment Science from the Open University of Colombo. Mr. Bulumulla is a fellow member of the National Institute of Plantation Management (NIPM) and member of the Board of Study of the Wayamba University ‘s External Degree Programme on Plantation management. He is also an honorary member of the Board Directors of the Plantation Human Development Trust and currently holds the position of the Chairman of the Planters Association of Ceylon.

Mr. Geethkumara has over 31 years of experience in plantation sector and holds a Masters from the University of Colombo. Holder of Diploma in Agriculture from Aquinas College and Diploma in Plantation Management from the National Institute of Plantation Management. He is the Former Chairman of Regional Scientific Committee of Galle District, Former Secretary of the Galle District Planters’ Association and Former Secretary of Forestry and Timber Certification Foundation. He is the current Treasurer of the Ceylon Cinnamon Geographical Indication Association.

Mr. Ruwan Nissanka is a member of the institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) and holds a B.B. Mgt. (HRM. Sp) degree in Human Resources Management with a 2nd Upper pass from the University He counts more than 14 years of experience in Finance and Audit sectors. He joined with Elpitiya Plantations PLC in 2007 and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Priyantha S Dissanayake is an engineering graduate from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, specialized in Electrical Engineering. He holds a Masters’ degree of Business Administration [MBA] from the University of Moratuwa, specialized in Information Technology. He is currently studying for a distance based MSc in Sustainable Energy Engineering of KTH University, Stockholm, Sweden. He participated for “The UN Winter School on Sustainable Consumption and Production in Asia and the Pacific”, a SWITCH Asia programme, representing Sri Lanka, in 2016. He has more than 18 years of experience after graduation, mainly in the energy sector. He has been serving to M/s Elpitiya Plantations PLC, as the Head of Engineering division since, January 2007, and Head of Business Sustainability since 2013. He has memberships of several professional bodies, namely, Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka (AMIESL), Sri Lanka Energy Managers Association (MSLEMA), Bio Energy Association of Sri Lanka (MBEASL) and Certified Professional Managers (ACPM) of Sri Lanka. Mr. Dissanayake was appointed as a Director of M/s Ceylon Agro Food Technologies (Pvt) Ltd in December 2023, which is a subsidiary Company of Elpitiya Plantations PLC.

Mr. M Ishafir Izzadeen started as a Trainee Assistant Manager in 1983, and has work experience in Low, Mid, and Up country plantations with a wide knowledge of Tea, Rubber, other plantations crops, and Spice crops. He has over 34 years of experience in the plantation management, and come up with many innovations to the industry. He served as the General Manager – Plantations and he leads the Sustainability Strategy of the company. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Plantation Management from National Institute of Plantation Management, and B.Sc. Hons. degree in Plantation Management from University of Wayamba. He has a M.Sc. degree in Plantations Crop Management from University of Peradeniya. Well blended with knowledge on practical and theoretical aspects of crop production and plantation management.

Mr. Greshan Nanayakkara has received the Masters Degree & Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources from University of Colombo. He has also read the LLB from University of Colombo. He assumed duties at Elpitiya Plantations PLC in 2001 in Admin and Legal Section. Subsequently in the year 2007 he was appointed as Manager and in 2010 assigned with new responsibility to head the Human Resources Division. Currently he holds the Certified Professional Managers (ACPM) Membership of Sri Lanka and serves the Company as Deputy General Manager – Human Resources/ Legal.

He was an Assistant Manager, a Manager in Malwaththa Valley Plantations, Maskeliya Plantations, Talawakelle Tea Estate PLC, Kegalle Plantations before joining Elpitiya. He holds master’s degree in business administration from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK and holds a Diploma in HR Management and organization behavior from American College of Higher education. He is a qualified Lead auditor in ISO Certification and certified HR Auditor awarded from Charted Institute of Personal Management, Sri Lanka. He is the current Chairman of Nuwara Eliya District Planters Association and the Deputy General Manager of Upcountry Cluster I of Elpitiya Plantations PLC.
