Mr. Bhathiya Bulumulla
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Bulumulla has 31 years of experience in the plantation sector out of which 19 years in EPL. He was an Asst Manger, a Manager and a Group Manager in State Plantations Corporation, Kotagala Plantations and Bogawantalawa Plantations respectively before joining Elpitiya. He holds a Diploma in Plantation Management from National Institute of Plantation Management and a B.Sc (honers) degree in Plantation Mgt awarded by Wayamba University. He also holds a Msc. on Environment Science from Open University of Colombo.
He is a Fellow member of National Institute of Plantation Management, a visiting lecturer at NIPM and Wayamba University, an Honorary Board member of both Estate Staff Provident Society and Plantations Human Development Trust.
Mr. A Segarajasingam
Mr. A Segarajasingam received the MBA from the Post Graduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardanepura. He is a graduate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK, & is a Chartered Marketer.
He has received the Diploma In Agriculture with First Class (Hons) from Aquinas University College, apart from the Diploma in Computer issued by Gateway Centre for Information Technology.
He started his career at Sri Lanka State Plantations Corporation as a Tea Taster & was the Deputy Director Marketing (Tea) & upon privatization of estate managements, he served as Marketing Director, at Magpek Colombo Land Plantations Management (Pvt) Ltd, the managing agents for Malwatte Valley Plantations Ltd.
His strong affiliation in the Tea Trade has given him an insight knowledge of the tea industry & the policy report for the postgraduate reading revolved around in major areas of competitiveness, quality improvement with cost effective strategies as well as on a much debated argument whether Sri Lanka should embark on to a controversial manufacture of cut tear & curl, which entails in the loss of the traditional markets. The thesis titled “ Competitive Strategies for the Tea Plantations in Sri Lanka’’ received wide publication at national forums as well as in UK, India & other International arenas. He continues to serve in a number of committees of the Colombo Tea Traders’ Association such as on warehousing, minimum standards, grade nomenclature, & packaging. He was primarily involved in the switch over of the packaging of teas from the traditional plywood chests to the present series of paper sacks, which were effected at the conglomerate companies during the nationalized management era. He is in the ‘Expert Panel’ of the tea tasting unit of the Sri Lanka Tea Board, representing the Planters’ Association of Ceylon.
Mr. M I Izzadeen
Mr. M Ishafir Izzadeen started as a Trainee Assistant Manager in 1983, and has work experience in Low, Mid, and Up country plantations with a wide knowledge of Tea, Rubber, other plantations crops, and Spice crops.
He served as the General Manager – Plantations and he leads the Sustainability Strategy of the company. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Plantation Management from National Institute of Plantation Management, and B.Sc. Hons. degree in Plantation Management from University of Wayamba. He has a M.Sc. degree in Plantations Crop Management from University of Peradeniya. Well blended with knowledge on practical and theoretical aspects of crop production and plantation management.
Mr. S K S B Pahathkumbura

Mr. Pahathkumbura has over 30 years of experience in the plantation sector and holds a Diploma in Plantation Management from National Institute of Plantation Management. He was a former Chairman of Regional Scientific Committee, Badulla District.

He is the Former Chairman of Regional Scientific Committee Galle District and Former Secretary of Galle District Planters’ Association. Also he is the Present Secretary of Forestry and Timber Certification Foundation.
Mr. Priyantha S Dissanayake

Head – Business Sustainability
Mr. Priyantha S Dissanayake is an engineering graduate of University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, specialized in Electrical Engineering.
And he holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from University of Moratuwa. He is currently studying for a distance based MSc in Sustainable Energy Engineering of KTH University, Stockholm, Sweden. He participated for “The UN Winter School on Sustainable Consumption and Production in Asia and the Pacific”, a SWITCH Asia programme, representing Sri Lanka, in 2016.
He has more than 17 years of experience after graduation, mainly in the energy sector. He has been serving to M/s Elpitiya Plantations PLC, as the Head of Engineering division since, January 2007, and Head of Business Sustainability since 2013. He has memberships of several professional bodies, namely, Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka (AMIESL), Sri Lanka Energy Managers Association (MSLEMA), Bio Energy Association of Sri Lanka (MBEASL) and Certified Professional Managers (ACPM) of Sri Lanka.
Mr. J A R Nissanka
Mr. Ruwan Nissanka is a member of the institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) and holds a B.B. Mgt. (HRM. Sp) degree in Human Resources Management with a 2nd Upper pass from the University of Kelaniya.
He counts more than 14 years of experience in Finance and Audit sectors. He joined with Elpitiya Plantations PLC in 2007 and currently serves as the General Manager – Finance. He holds the membership in other professional bodies; CMA Sri Lanka and Certified Professional Managers (ACPM) of Sri Lanka.
